When you check the blog, look at the bottom of the post to see if there are comments attached. The post I wrote last night now has 5 comments...Celeste did it! And happy 23rd to Ben...wow!
keep at it....figure this blog attempt of ours is only a tiny example of how Mom and Dad feel struggling in their world of growing older..."unkown, "confusing," "want to do it, but somehow doesn't work"...etc. etc....smiles and hugs on that one!!! Toni

All of our conscerns are indead very timely! We somehow have to remove or adjust the blinders on the those two lovely horses that are still running strong into the bliss! As the two of them mirror our own confusion and fears we must oh so gently suggest a safer route not knowing their course or their destination. encourage their run while saluting their courage while gently our net of conscern without spoiling thier grace! get the rails up, rig the lights and let them run and run till their hungry for some Pasta. We all fall from time to time young or old. Let's find dad a Driver!

Very poetic Spanky !!! Love the analogy.
ReplyDeletehey Spanky...what a great note. Thanks. you are poetic...and captured the sense of it all. Dad has at least two names of drivers. He needs to talk with them. He has their numbers and I discussed again with him on Sat...I do talk about the "long rides"..but he also has the name of the Buckley group where there is a gentleman the office says is great! He was able to look at the Buckley site from my e-mail..hooray on that one. The first "visit" is free...all he has to do is make a call. But I know that if I bring it up too much..whatever that is to him at any given time....he abruptly denies any need...so I've taken it slowly...and he's moving a bit...so.....the "bucking broncos" keep at it...(smile)..great note and thanks. toni
