Dad's PCOM Award in January 2010

Dad called today from PCOM...all excited....Here is the information about the award he will receive about Jan. 23, 2010...Just for all of your information.  Dad is sounding so proud...more to come about it in the future...mark your calendars.....He is to receive the O.J. Snyder Memorial Medal from PCOM.

Founders' Day  In January 2010....

The annual observance of Founders' Day commemorates the founders of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine: Oscar J. Snyder, DO and Mason W. Pressly, DO. The O.J. Snyder Memorial Medal is the College's highest award to recognize leadership and service to the osteopathic profession and to the College. The Mason W. Pressly Memorial Medal is presented to the student who is recognized by students, faculty and the administration as "Student DO of the Year."

Hi....won't write much....just had a "brain drizzle" as my husband would say.  I am Dad's cheerleader.  May have thought that before...but hit me today.  Mom and Dad are on their way to Philadelphia....he went to AAA for advice to avoid I95..and dang...the NASCAR races are in Dover , DE this weekend....and his "new route" included going up 301...Anyway after about a total of an hour conversation about all of this...they are off.  He said he'd call me along the way...told him I'd let him know if I hear any Bay Bridge reports...rah! rah!  Offered to drive him there...for someone else to drive him there...etc. etc.  He, though fussing and anticipating a difficult drive, still said he wanted to drive.  So....here I am...holding my breath for a few hours.....I just have some reassurance that he usually does just fine....

That's all...a dip in the pool...or some furniture washing...or fussing with Bob, who is home.....getting in my way, of course.....love ya
