Let me introduce MAC to you!! And HAPPY EASTER!
Yep. using my new Mac...so far so good. Lots to learn about what it has to offer, but I seem to be able to do the basic things. not very different from a PC. All of a sudden, my windows are the right size and i don't know how it happened. Anyway, still waiting for my "old" computer to return sort of fixed up so I can get some of the stuff off of it...hey, Mike and Bonnie, thanks for the call today. Sorry I haven't written much lately, but Mom and Dad are just the same. They are driving to the beach tomorrow (Thursday)..turned down Jo and Fred's and my offer to drive them. They seemingly want to get there before any of us, to do some work. they told me they have to empty out their personal stuff from Century (pre rentals) ..not sure if they are bringing it home, or putting it at the townhouse. And, as they don't want any help in the kitchen, they will probably make sure they have all meals made ahead of time.they gave Jo the menu. I know I should be glad about their spirit and their determination. I think they had planned all along to go to the beach to avoid any controversy over where Easter may be. And all of a sudden, JoAnn and I offer to spend time with them and drive them there!!! Was not in their plans. I don't know. Dad started to show his irritability...he even led me to believe he'd ride with JoAnn..but then supposedly they wouldn't be leaving soon enough for him. I truly don't know how to read them anymore. I believe Dad is inconsistent in so many things. And i also believes that he "tells each of us what he thinks we want to hear." No more fussing. It is how it is. I think I am still going to join them. I really wanted to spend time with Jo and Fred. And be by the ocean We'll see. Better get some sleep. Have to get myself ready if I'm going. HAPPY EASTER to all. I love you, Toni

Hey Toni, Happy Apple!! I'm envious. Good to hear news from home. Even though it is laced with trippy little frustrations. It seems safe to me. Take a few breaths and enjoy. Dad's alway been a bit of a poker player.
ReplyDeleteWish I had more time. Our life has been busy but good. Got a lovely card from Celeste. Thanks for making it seem like Easter. Sue has a 12hr shift Sunday. But I get the day off.
I'll call the beach or cell phone. Love John
I like that, John, "trippy little frustrations." Yeah, the poker party continues. Dad just now called me to say they were leaving for the beach. I always feel so warmly touched by you. Thank you. I so wish I could stop worrying...I guess I just need to see that big, marvelous, strong ocean. And Dad really spars with me. At the same time, being indirect about his needs. And I know he does that with us all. Better wake up now. I was awake with my new Mac most of the night. Love to you and Sue. I'm trying to see if I can get Bob to drive to the beach for the day on Easter. Toni
ReplyDeleteAs you all may know by now, Dad and Mom made it to the beach. they had called ahead to Century folks to turn the heat and water on...and the staff were all there to greet them and help them carry all the stuff up to the condo. Maybe Dad AND Mom will learn that it isn't so bad having people help them..of course, I think they were male and are unrelated...smile!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo..i'll decide my schedule tomorrow. Am tentatively thinking I'll leave tomorrow but must get lots done first. Love to all. Toni
